"Best hiking in Penfield, Irondequoit, Webster area. This place is never crowded so if you're looking for solitude this is the place to be. It's good for loops, or if you're willing to do a little walking on the road you can go right to Ellison from here."

"Another gorgeous Saturday, and another gorgeous walk. This is not a bad drive from me, and there are so many trails for a variety of walking experiences. I loved the hills, though I probably wore the wrong shoes for the mud and kinda steep incline in places."

"This park is a great place for a hike close to home. It's easy to spend 2 or 3 hours here. Gorgeous views of the flood plain of Irondequoit Creek and tons of hills carved out by vernal streams. The just recently rerouted many of the trails to make the hiking experience even more enjoyable."

"Decided to go here for a walk! Absolutely loved it, but definitely should have worn hiking shoes instead of sneakers. It's along a marsh, so a fair amount of the trails are a little boggy, and fairly wet. In the summer I can imagine the bugs may be out in force."

"Go out, it is sooooo beautiful out there. This one is most definitely one of the better parks to visit. Beautiful and lots of fall colors. At one point there was a group of teenagers with loud music, but I was so happy they left after a while. One of the best spots in the area."

"Hidden gem where you can walk right by the irondequoit bay and see the water up on peaks or right next to it. Bring good sturdy shoes there are a lot of high points to climb and can be kind of muddy. Tough hike but so fun and so many different trails to chose from and labeled very well!"

"We followed the white trail which is a little bit more than 1 mile which winds through the woods with some hills and dips. There are some pretty views at the end of the trail. Very nice escape from civilization."

"Many intersecting trails that run high up on the ridge and low near the waters edge under a tall tree canopy. We hiked in March and it was muddy in places but manageable. Many dogs and children were on these trails. We saw signs of beaver and few woodpeckers."

"Hiking in this park was an absolute blast. The scenery was amazing! I loved all the trails but also spent a lot of time off the trails. Lots of wildlife, flowers and a variety of environments. So peaceful. I didn’t see a soul. There are so many ways to hike this park, so it would work for all skill levels. Bring your camera!"
